Sam knew, as anybody will know, that when you wake up ….. and smell your dead father right beside you, then you know the shifty shadow of God is lurking. And Sam knew damnwell that when the shifty shadow is about, you roll yourself a smoke and stay under the sheet and don't move till you see what happens.

I know that feeling, and it is difficult to be in that space.
Of course, the fact that you are not alone, in that you have a raft of well wishers out there who understand what you are feeling, does not offer much more than small comfort, given the fact we are all inevitably and utterly alone with ourselves, on the inside. So amidst great company and companionship we are all alone, and sometimes this is much harder to bear than others.
If you can glean some small feeling of succour from your band of merry travellers, I hope we can offer you some sense of connection, however modest, that might sustain you through even the deepest experience of isolation.
The saddest thing is, you're so not alone. We know, and we care. The whole thing sucks. I'm sorry you're feeling so alone and going through this kind of sadness.
